Airlines face $113 billion hit from coronavirusMarch 8, 2020

Petra)-- Global airlines stand to lose $113 billion in sales if the coronavirus continues to spread, according to the International Air Transport Association.

The losses would be similar to those experienced by the aviation industry during the global financial crisis of 2008, IATA warned as it dramatically increased its estimate of the damage caused by the outbreak. Jordan airport welcomes over 679,000 passengers in JanMarch 4, 2020

Jordan's Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed a total of 679,791 passengers during the month of January, marking a 3.9 per cent increase in comparison to the same month last year.

According to the January results released by Airport International Group, QAIA registered increases of 2.3 per cent and 2.1 per cent in aircraft movements and cargo to reach 6,205 and 7,176 tons, respectively.
