Passenger traffic at QAIA up 5.4% in H1 August 6, 2017

The Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 3.61 million passengers in the first half of the current year, indicating a rise of 5.4 per cent compared with the same period of 2016.

The airport operated 35,911 flights in the January-June period, up by 0.7 per cent compared with the same period last year, according to a statement by the Airport International Group (AIG), the company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of the QAIA.

Britain lifts laptop ban on flights from Jordan August 5, 2017

Britain on Friday lifted a ban on personal electronic devices for flights from Amman's Queen Alia International Airport to the United Kingdom, the national carrier Royal Jordanian said.

'Effective August 4, 2017, Royal Jordanian passengers are allowed to carry these electronic devices in the cabin,' the airline said in a statement referring to large phones, laptops and tablets.
