UAE's ERC team visits Syrian patients in Jordan

Following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, is continuing to provide support and relief to Syrian refugees at the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Mubarak Mohammed Al Khaili, Director of the UAE-Jordanian Camp, accompanied by members of a UAE relief team, visited Syrian refugees who are being transferred from the camp to hospitals run by the Jordanian Ministry of Health. He also wished them a speedy recovery.

He highlighted the ERC's support for the Syrian refugees, under the care of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC, and he praised the level of readiness of Jordanian hospitals and the abilities of their medical, nursing and technical staff. He also praised the efforts of the authorities in the Kingdom and their high-level of co-ordination with the camp’s management, to assure the best medical care is received by the Syrian refugees.

Dr. Hussain Al Musaabi, Director of the UAE Medical Team, stressed the importance of these visits, due to their positive effect on the psychological state of the patients, which is a crucial factor in the success of their treatment and recovery.
