Jordan takes part in aviation summit in Riyadh

Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) -- A Jordanian delegation headed by chief commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Captain Haitham Misto, has participated in the first meeting of the Executive Committee of Regional Safety Oversight Organization in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the Fourth Middle East Safety Summit, recently held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The summit was organized by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Participants underscored the need to apply air safety standards and procedures in the civil aviation industry at the global level.

They also underlined the importance of the civil aviation industry, which plays a key role in the global economy.

Captain Misto also met with GACA President Abdul Hakim Al-Tamimi, and discussed with him Jordanian-Saudi relations and ways to further boost them, which would yield positive results in air navigation performance areas.
