KADDB, IBS, CBJ to launch cybersecurity academy

Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) -- The King Abdullah Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) and the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) Sunday inked an agreement to open the KADDB academy for cybersecurity at the IBS headquarters that provides cybersecurity services to all concerned national institutions.

The agreement was signed by KADDB Director-General Maj. Gen. Mohammad Farghal (Retired), on behalf of KADDB and by director of the IBS, Riyad Hindawi.

KADDB also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) whereby the bank issues circulars to financial and banking sectors under its supervision via different media outlets, which states that KADDB academy for cybersecurity is the qualified body to provide training in the field of cybersecurity in the Kingdom. In return, KADDB will provide special services to the CBJ employees: training and academic programs and courses.

Farghal underscored the importance of such agreements that seek to strengthen cooperation between KADDB and the Kingdom's institutions to protect Jordan's infrastructure against cybersecurity threats and strengthen the principle of integration and partnership between national institutions.
