PDTRA seeks closer cooperation in tourism crisis management at the world level

Petra, June 23 (Petra) – Chairman of Petra Development Tourism Regional Authority (PDTRA), Sulaiman Al-Farajat, discussed with Prof. Eric Friedheim, an expert in the tourism crisis management, the mechanisms of dealing with crises facing the tourism sector and how to overcome them, within a clear plan to achieve sustainable and comprehensive tourism development.

The meeting came within the context of PDTRA's plans to achieve tourism development, and to benefit from the international experience in crisis management, in a bid to address the different conditions that may be face the tourism sector, to reach a stable and risk-free tourism sector.

In this context, the two sides discussed the mechanisms of joint cooperation in the field of tourism marketing and the possibility of holding an international conference on tourism early next year.

Al-Farajat and Friedheim also stressed the importance of the tourism industry and the need to provide all the ways to success of this sector, and enhance the development opportunities, which are one of the leverages of the national economy in recent years.
