Minister emphasizes national economy on right track

Mafraq, July 10 (Petra) -- Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tariq Hammouri Wednesday said that the national economy is achieving positive results and that the government will not hesitate to provide necessary facilities that would boost investment and create job opportunities for locals.

Hammouri made his remarks during a meeting with investors in the King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area (KHBTDA) in Mafraq, which he said has many promising opportunities for investment.

The acting director of the Mafraq Development Corporation Loui Sarirah gave a briefing about the KHBTDA and the advantages it offers, as well as its financial incentives included in the investment law.

There are 22 factories in the region that provide 896 job opportunities, half of which for locals, and 13 restaurants under construction, he added, expecting that they will open for business by the beginning of 2020. In addition, there are 7 factories under construction.
