Tourism Minister meets Qatari officials

Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) - Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Majd Shweikeh discussed on Tuesday with the Qatari Charge d'Affaires in Amman, Abdulaziz bin Mohamed Khalifa al-Sada, relations between Jordan and Qatar, and ways of cementing cooperation in the tourism domain.

A statement by the ministry said that the Qatari official handed the Minister an invitation to attend the 19th Doha Forum to be held in December under the theme 'Reimagining Governance in a MultiPolar World'.

Separately, Shweikeh discussed with Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker aspects of joint cooperation to fly potential tourists from the Indian and Chinese market through the codeshare agreement with Royal Jordanian.

Additionally, they discussed prospects to increase flights between Amman and Doha, and ways to enhance tourism exchange between the two countries and increase the number of Qatari tourists to the Kingdom.
