Cabinet approves investment bid for Al Majd housing project in Zarqa

Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra)-- A cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, on Tuesday, approved the investment bid for the first phase of National Housing Program, related to the Al Majd housing project in Zarqa Governorate.

The program's first phase includes implementing fully-served housing clusters, in stages, to low- and medium-income demographics, built on lands owned by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDC), by inviting investors in the private housing sector to invest in these lands in the governorates of (Karak, Amman, Tafila, Zarqa and Mafraq).

The first phase of the project will be within the residential city of Al Majd in Zarqa Governorate; as feedback will be considered and evaluated, so that it will be taken into consideration when offering the remaining investment bids to all projects of the first phase (housing clusters) in governorates and other areas covered by the program.

The second phase of the national housing program includes the provision of 1700 residential plots serviced by the HUDC's projects in most governorates of the Kingdom, with facilities and prices appropriate for families whose monthly income does not exceed JD700.
