Zawati reviews renewable energy projects by youth

AMMAN — Minister of Energy Hala Zawati on Saturday took a first-hand look at a number of entrepreneurial employment generation projects in the fields of renewable energy technology and smart applications.

During her visit to the technology hub iPARK, Zawati listened to a briefing about an automatic cleaning system for solar panel surfaces developed by the start-up DARB, according to a ministry statement.

Saqer for Smart Systems also made a presentation on the uses of drones in the energy sector, while a number of entrepreneurs reviewed their employment generation projects. Lauding the youths’ productive projects, Zawati emphasised the importance of supporting such ventures across the Kingdom.

The technology hub iPARK supervises 30 start-ups and provides management services for four business incubators in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba.
