Gov't reduces fuel prices for March

(Petra) –– The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' committee that prices oil derivatives on monthly basis Saturday reduced the price of 90-octane gasoline by JD0.30, 95-octane gasoline JD0.35, diesel JD0.50 and kerosene JD0.40.

But it left the price of a cooking gas cylinder unchanged at JD7.

The panel said that in its meeting to fix fuel prices locally for the period between March 1st and 31st, it reviewed global crude and oil derivatives' prices that showed a drop in the month of February, which reflected on prices in the local market.

It said that benchmark Brent crude had dropped from 63.8 dollars per barrel in the month of January to 55.4 dollars in February.
