JPRC: Refinery production capacity normal, oil stock sufficient

Amman, July 5 (Petra) - Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) has denied reports on some online news websites, alleging disruption of Iraqi oil deliveries 'confused the JPRC's operations.
In a media statement issued on Sunday, the JPRC said the disruption of Iraqi oil shipments to the Kingdom, which begun since the beginning of last May until now, did not cause 'any confusion' to the company's operations, given the delivered Iraqi oil is ' not large,' adding it has other import sources such as Saudi Aramco.
The company has sufficient stock of crude oil and oil derivatives, whether in the refinery in Zarqa, or its facilities in Aqaba, while the units operating inside the refinery site in Zarqa work within their natural productive capacity, the JPRC statement announced.
The company said it has received about 4 million barrels of crude oil during the months of April and May, and had stored about 1 million barrels on a previously chartered floating vessel, in addition to the quantities stored in Aqaba and Zarqa, according to the statement.
