    Housing minister, Qatari envoy discuss construction cooperation

    Amman, Oct. 25 (Petra)-Minister of Public Works and Housing, Yahya Kasbi, discussed on Sunday, with the Qatari Ambassador to Jordan, Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, ways to strengthen Jordanian-Qatari relations in the construction and housing sector.
    During the meeting, the minister affirmed his keenness to implement His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives to strengthen relations with Arab countries, expressing his hope for increased cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various fields, especially in the construction and housing sector.
    Kasbi highlighted Kingdom's investment opportunities in the real estate and housing fields, adding Jordan has 'large' human resources in the engineering and contracting sector.
    The minister also cast light on ways to benefit from the accumulated technical expertise in these areas and on steps taken to facilitate procedures for Qatari investors in the Kingdom to serve mutual benefits.
    For his part, Al-Thani praised the Jordanian workerforce in Qatar, especially the engineers, lauding 'their efficiency and contributions to various Qatari projects.'
    Expressing his pride in the bilateral relations, the envoy voiced his willingness to enhancing the level of joint cooperation in various fields, including the engineering and housing sector, which requires a continuous exchange of experiences.
    To further push cooperation, the envoy stressed his country's continuous desire to benefit from Jordanian competencies.
