Jordan, India talk investment cooperation
AMMAN — Investment Minister Kholoud Saqqaf and Indian Ambassador Anwar Haleem on Sunday went over means to boost investment and economic ties between the two countries.
The two sides discussed the ministry’s role in offering comprehensive services to investors and developing their investments. They also reviewed the ministry’s plan to create a competitive and attractive investment environment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Saqqaf said that there are many investment opportunities with “high added value” in Jordan that deserve the attention of Indian investors in many sectors, such as ICT, logistics, tourism, industry, agriculture and health, as well as public-private partnership projects.
Haleem praised the efforts of the ministry in facilitating procedures and boosting the business environment in the Kingdom. The volume of Indian investments in the Kingdom stands at around $1.3 billion, and are mainly in clothing and fertilisers.
