Oil derivatives prices rise globally

Amman, Oct. 12 (Petra) -- The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the first week of October compared to September, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The data showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 0.9 percent, going from $392.4 per ton in the first week of October to $388.8 in September, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $404.1 per ton to $408.1, constituting a 1-percent increase.

Diesel prices also increased by 2.7 percent going from $328 per ton to $336.9, while the prices of kerosene rose by 7.8 percent from $306.6 to $330.7 per ton.

The prices of liquefied gas for October picked up 19.3 going from $317.6 per ton to $378.8. Meanwhile, in the first week of October, benchmark Brent crude prices dropped from $40.8 to $40.3 per barrel.
