    Ministry allows imports of grapes

    AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Daoudiyeh on Saturday decided to open the door for imports of grapes after the season ended for locally grown grapes.

    The ministry, in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that permits will be offered from the allowed countries of origin, the same procedure implemented in terms of the guava crop, whose domestic production season ended by the beginning of this month.

    The applications related to the imports of grapes will be received as of Sunday, while guava import applications have been received since the beginning of November.
