Supreme Commander directed to increase number of housing loans beneficiaries: Army chief
Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti said Monday that a committee formed in line with Royal directives, chaired by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF)-Arab Army,to provide support for retired servicemen and veterans.
Hneiti gave his remarks in a meeting with retired servicemen and veterans on the occasion of Veterans Day
The work of the committee, formed two months ago under royal directives, was based on material and moral components that include the disbursement of JD438 million for military housing fund, to increase the number of non-commissioned officer beneficiaries from 6,600 in 2020 to 27,000 in 2021, in addition to 1,100 officers in 2021.
The Military Trust Fund will also grant personal financing to retired servicemen, similar to active servicemen, with a value of JD6000, at a low profit rate, for personal benefit and productive projects, Hneiti added.
