Amman, Nov. 24 (Petra) -- The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) on Wednesday organized a workshop for representatives of Jordanian tourism and travel agencies with their Polish counterparts.

Holding of this workshop is part of a visit organized by the JTB for a delegation of representatives of Polish tourism and travel agencies to serve the Kingdom's tourism promotion plans in the Polish market. The visit included an exploratory tour of agencies in the Kingdom, the JTB said Wednesday in a statement.

JTB Managing Director, Abdul Razzaq Arabiat, said that Jordan is key and major tourism destinations in the world, due to its diversity, which is an element of attraction for Polish tourists, pointing out that 2019 was a special year in terms of the number of Polish tourists who visited Jordan.

He added that Jordan has a real opportunity to attract tourists from Poland during the current period through flights on low-cost airlines, stressing that the JTB seeks to attract Polish tourists through low-cost airlines, from which direct flights to the Kingdom are currently launched.

Arabiat indicated that attracting Polish tourists came within the JTB's plan for the current year, through which it opened up to new markets, pointing out that the JTB will attempt to attract a number of Polish media representatives next month to promote and market the Kingdom in their country.

For their part, a number of representatives of Polish tourism and travel agencies participating in the workshop indicated that Jordan enjoys a calm and safe atmosphere, which enables it to increase the number of tourists wishing to visit it.
