World Bank delegation visits National Aid Fund

AMMAN — A delegation of World Bank executive managers visited the National Aid Fund (NAF) on Tuesday to get acquainted with the social protection programmes and mechanisms for supporting low-income families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Headed by Executive Director Mirza Hasan, the delegation also visited the fund's branch in Jerash to check on the procedures in place to provide financial support to eligible groups and individuals, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
NAF Acting Director General Barq Dmour said that the visit signals the World Bank’s “trust” in the fund which, he said, enjoys good reputation among regional and international bodies concerned with fighting poverty.
