    Real estate trade at JD1.7bln in first tertile

    Amman, May 16 (Petra) -- Jordan's real estate trade volume in the first tertile of 2022 spiked to JD1.727 billion, up by 29 per cent, compared to the same period of 2021, according to the Department of Land and Survey (DLS).

    It said that revenues went up by 39 per cent, compared to 2021, reaching JD77 million, the department's figures showed.

    Overall real estate sales in the Kingdom inched down by 2 per cent in 2022 with apartment sales picking up, jumping 8 per cent, while land sales were down by 5 per cent, compared to 2021, it added.

    On a monthly level, trading in the real estate market in April 2022 was up by 1 per cent, compared to the same month of 2021, totaling JD313 million. Revenues in the same month of 2022 rose by 9 per cent, compared to 2021, reaching around JD13.8 million.
