    Fayez meets Saudi Hajj minister over increasing tourism cooperation

    (Petra)--Minister of Tourism, Nayef Fayez, on Thursday discussed with Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Rabiah, ways to enhance joint cooperation to encourage tourism exchange and increase flights to achieve this goal.

    Lauding the 'deep-rooted brotherly' Jordanian-Saudi relations in various fields, the two ministers referred to 'promising' opportunities to increase the number of tourists between the two countries.

    Fayez and Rabih also stressed the importance of networking and coordination among the two countries' travel agencies to prepare tourist trips, promote the two kingdoms' archaeological attractions jointly, develop shared programs and exchange related expertise.

    Fayez said Jordan enjoys 'a diverse and unique' tourism product that suits Saudi tourists, indicating the importance of enhancing the volume of joint tourism exchange and increasing the visitor numbers.

    For his part, Rabiah referred to facilitations granted for Jordanian tourists and travelers to visit Saudi Arabia for the purposes of archaeological, natural and recreational tourism.
