JFDA partakes in Africa Health ExCon 2022
Amman, June 5 (Petra)-- The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Sunday partook in the first African Medical Exhibition and Conference 'Africa Health ExCon' 2022.
The conference, which kicked off today in Cairo, under the auspices of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, aims to enhance integration and cooperation in the field of health among African countries to meet the needs in the medical field, a JFDA statement issued Sunday said.
Speaking to a session on Covid-19 pandemic, JFDA Director-General, Nizar Mheidat, who presided over the Kingdom's delegation, highlighted the JFDA experience during the pandemic, which achieved qualitative leaps in promoting and developing the Jordanian pharmaceutical industry, the manufacture of masks and medical devices, forming an unprecedented model, which contributed to the provision of sufficient stocks and the promotion of its exports, as the JFDA contributed to confronting the pandemic and mitigating its impacts.
The conference includes a series of lectures and workshops covering key topics in this sector, presented by international experts in the medical field, who will present their expertise, experiences and the latest technologies in various medical fields and exchange knowledge.
The three-day conference, organized by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and Technology Management (UPA), with the participation of 2,000 members of delegations representing government health and medical authorities, as well as ket figures and leaders in the industrial sector at African and Middle East levels, from more than 102 countries.
