AMMAN — The Green Trade Conference kicked off on Tuesday at the Dead Sea. Organised by Export House, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation’s Trade for Employment (T4E), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Netherlands, the two-day event aims to increase Jordanian exports, particularly to Europe.

CEO of Export House Omar Qaryouti called for implementing measures that could overcome the 'green trade barrier', which includes customs-related obstacles and environmental barriers that could affect the Kingdom's exports in the future, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The green economy aims to reduce environmental risks and achieve sustainable development without environmental degradation.
