Royal Jordanian Air Force signs agreement to purchase F-16s from US

AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) on Thursday hosted the signing ceremony of an agreement amending the purchase of F-16 aircraft, which includes delivering 12 aircraft in the first stage. The agreement was signed by RJAF Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammed Hiasat and Deputy Chief of US Mission to Jordan Rohit Nepal, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
This agreement is part of efforts to boost the defence capabilities of the Kingdom and increase the level of combat readiness and joint operations with the US. It also aims to strengthen the framework of cooperation between the two countries, support joint efforts to combat terrorism, and promote stability in the region.
